Our company is pleased to present you a new innovative product (patent application number 201212924 RF) - a Thermal Barrier Coating "Aerocoat ™".
The product is based on Nano gel particles which placed in large quantities in the aqueous polymer emulsion. "Aerocoat ™" can be applied on virtually any surface, even the most complex shapes. After drying and curing the coating is having extremely high thermal-shielding properties.
When coating applied on hot pipe with thickness 2-4 mm, it can obtain insulation that meets all the requirements of SNIP 41-03-2003 (Russian Standard ) for temperatures on the surface of the insulation. The heat flux from the surface with “Aerocoat” is reduced by 6-8 times. It should be noted that in contrast to the ceramic coating system of our company containing microspheres, perfectly manifesting itself as a coating with a high degree of dispersion of the heat flux and which are most well-proven in case of non-contact use, "Aerocoat ™" coating is proved itself in the case of direct contact with the heat source, and doesn't need intermediate materials such as fibre glass cloth. Efficiency confirmed by testing methods GOST (Regional representative of ISO in Russian Federation) of the GOST 7076-99 ( ISO 8302) , GOST 30256-94, etc., in which it was shown that the thermal conductivity of "Aerocoat ™" is 2 times better than thermal conductivity of the Air .
Such high thermal-insulating properties of the material are obtained by using the aerogel granules (nano-gel) as the basis for it. Aerogel is an unusual gel in which there is no liquid phase completely replaced by gaseous, as a result of which the substance has a record low density, just 1.5 times greater than the density of air, and a number of other unique qualities: hardness, transparency, heat resistance, etc. Aerogel is also amazing by the fact that 99.8% consists of ... air! In structure, aerogels are a tree-like network of particles grouped into homogeneous groups (clusters) 2-5 nanometers in size and pores filled with air, with dimensions up to 100 nanometers. The structure of the aerogel is formed by spherical clusters of quartz with a diameter of approximately 0.004 μm forming a three-dimensional grid, the pores of which are filled with air (up to 99% of the volume of the gel occupies air). The pore sizes are ten times or more larger than the clusters, which makes it possible to obtain a very light material. The aerogel itself is an extremely good heat insulating material, thermal conductivity, which, even if the molecules of air are inside, is much lower than that of the air itself, by preventing its convection in the aerogel structure by an extremely developed structural three-dimensional grid of solid with dimensions of several nanometers.
